About This Website

This web site is laid out with three major ares of interest; Home, Radial Engines, and Turbine Engines. At any time during your visit, you can use the links in the top menu bar to move between these major areas.

As you move between major areas, you will notice that the menu bar on the left changes based on which area you move to in the site. The left menu bar will allow you to navigate the three major areas of the site. In the "Home" area, you will find things typically found at a web site, like a guestbook and links to other web sites of interest. In the Radial and Turbine Engines areas, you will find links that help you learn more about the services we offer, as well as technical information useful to you in the maintenance of your own aircraft engines.

We at Covington Aircraft are dedicated to customer support. We intend for this web site to be a support source as well as personal contact with us. If there is something you would like to see at this site, please send us a note to webmaster@covingtonaircraft.com. We would love to hear from you.

About Covington
Started in 1972, Covington Aircraft has become a world leader in aircraft engine overhaul and repair. Specializing in Pratt & Whitney R-985 and R-1340 radial engines and PT6A turbine engines, we are a Pratt & Whitney Canada Service Center. We are the only Pratt & Whitney Agricultural Service Center in the world.

Covington employs 62 people in a facility occupying over 45,000 square feet of total space. In addition to engine overhaul and repair work we perform engine installations, operate state-of-the-art engine testing facilities, and carry a large inventory of replacement parts. We ship engines and parts to customers all around the world.

Covington performs all stages of engine repair and overhaul work in-house. We perform Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) to verify the integrity of critical parts prior to use, we use modern, computer-controlled machinery for necessary machining, grinding, and balancing prior to assembly, and an on-site Quality Control (QC) inspector oversees every step of the overhaul process. When the rebuild is complete, the engine testing and run-in is performed at our own engine testing facilities, where computers gather and analyze data to verify the best quality rebuild possible
